Pricing FAQs

Do you offer any discounts?

Yes! We offer a discount on our subscriptions for non-profits and academic institutions, with proof of tax-exemption status. If you are interested, please email us at support@threads.com to get started.

To qualify, your organization must have a valid tax-exempt status with the IRS, and cannot:

  • Discriminate on gender, race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, political affiliation or beliefs, sexual orientation, or gender identity/expression
  • Promote a particular religious affiliation in exchange for services
  • Be one of the following: a political organization/government office, church or other religious organization, a hospital or organization involved with health insurance, a private grant-making or operating foundation, or an organization that seeks solely to influence public opinion
What are my payment options?

We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa,Ā Mastercard,Ā American Express, Discover and more) for organizations on the Standard Plan.

For organizations on the Enterprise plan, we also accept bank transfers.

How can I upgrade my plan?

You can upgrade your plan by going to the Billing page of your organization. This is accessible in the left hand navigation dropdown

What does a "guest" mean on Threads?

A guest is any account that is not a member of your organization that you give limited access to your forums. For example, you can invite someone to a single thread, or a single forum within your organizationā€”this would be counted as one guest.

How will new or removed users affect my plan?

Adding new members or removing existing members will be reflected in your next invoice as a prorated charge or credit. For example, if your organization is on the standard plan and a new member joins the organization on June 16th, there will be an additional charged for $5 on the July invoice.
